Executive Protection Specialist
About the role
This role safeguards executive spaces and movements for senior leadership, ensuring a secure, discreet, and professional environment across executive floors, high-level meetings, and business events. The position blends access control, incident response, secure transportation planning and execution, and close coordination with internal stakeholders and external law enforcement partners.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure the safety and security of the senior management team, key stakeholders, and external business clientele.
- Safeguard Executive Floors and other designated areas, including off-site event venues, by maintaining constant situational awareness and implementing proactive security measures.

- Monitor internal guests, third-party visitors, and service providers to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with all entry procedures.
- Provide real-time assessments supporting incident response during major events, high-level meetings, private functions, and business-related off-site activities.
- Analyze on-the-ground conditions, develop security action plans, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential threats.
- Plan and execute transportation services in coordination with local law enforcement and other security agencies to support ongoing protective operations.
- Provide safe, efficient, and discreet transportation for senior leaders, prioritizing safety, discretion, and a low profile at all times; monitor traffic patterns, potential risks, and alternate routes to reduce delays and exposure.
- Maintain a low-profile operational posture during all movements; ensure vehicles are positioned strategically for pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Maintain vehicle inspections, cleanliness, travel logs and maintenance.
- Support executive travel movements domestically and internationally as required.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork—collaboration, communication, and cooperation—while giving and receiving constructive feedback to improve team operations.
- Remain flexible and prepared to support the Executive Protection and Major Events team outside the NY area, with domestic and international travel as needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military security.
- HR 218 Permit preferred; CCW Permit, NYS Carry Permit also accepted.
- Successful completion of 2–3 days of protective/evasive driving training.
- Ability to complete basic first aid and AED training; capable of performing basic life-saving techniques and maintaining related certifications.
- Working knowledge of the greater NYC area, including major transportation hubs, landmarks, and roadways.
- Demonstrated experience providing safe, discreet transportation for senior leaders and managing low-profile movements.
- Experience assessing risks, vulnerabilities, and threats, including surveillance and counter-surveillance.
- Experience in crisis response, workplace violence, and other emergency events.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to maintain physical standards and successfully complete Executive Protection advance training as required.
Qualifications
- Must successfully pass a mental health and fitness for duty examination upon request.
- Possess an ASO Certificate (or ability to obtain one).

Pay
Salary Range (hourly): $38.61 - $63.03
Schedule
Generally Monday through Friday, also weekends and holidays as needed. Occasional domestic and international travel to support executive movements and events.
