Executive Protection Specialist
About the role
The Executive Protection Specialist supports all aspects of security operations for designated principals. This is a dynamic position requiring flexibility and adaptability to changing operational requirements as directed by client needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide protective coverage for principals and their family in a professional, courteous manner, adhering to standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
- Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or act as response agent in motorcade or similar operations.
- Carry out daily post and detail orders, or orders from the AIC, ADL, MPS, or SL.
- Participate in advanced security operations.
- Man the security post at the principal’s residence, the command post, or other static posts as required.
- Conduct site surveys and risk assessments.
- Participate in recurring protective operations training, including emergency medical, vehicle operations, surveillance detection, and firearms proficiencies.
- Operate vehicles, including EVs, golf carts, and off-road vehicles, in support of the client.
- Document security incidents, including preparing reports and briefs as needed.
- Utilize computers, tablets, phones, satellite communication devices, and other electronics with expert working proficiency.
- Operate alongside other security teams with comfort and expertise.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years experience in protective operations.
- Experience operating within the intelligence community, military (with honorable discharge), or law enforcement sectors is highly desired and preferred.
- A graduate of a reputable protective operations training program is desired.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- California Guard Card, CPR/AED certification, and CCW (HR218 or LEOSA) required; proof of licenses and certifications are required prior to offer.
- Strong working knowledge of Protective Intelligence functions, platforms, software, and tools.
- Leadership and management experience is desired.
- Advanced understanding of technology-based protective applications.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Ability to lift items of 20+ Ibs. or more and stand for long periods of time.
- Possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation.
- Tactical law enforcement experience is highly desired.

Pay
Compensation is targeted at $55 hourly based on experience and certifications.
Schedule
