About the role

The Executive Housekeeping Manager supervises, coordinates, and participates in activities of room attendants, laundry, and commercial cleaners by directing, training, scheduling, and recruiting all team members to ensure a smooth-running housekeeping department. Works directly with all team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all controllable expenses in the department, including cost per occupied room and labor cost.
• Work with vendors on training for all products.
• Order and inventory all in-room products.
• Manage all team member scheduling.
• Ensure the overall cleanliness of the hotel.
• Demonstrate full understanding of hazardous waste and bloodborne pathogens.
• Oversee team productivity.
• Assist the entire staff and management team in maintaining Brand standards.
• Maintain all laundry and facility shifts.
• Follow all Brand standards.
• Possess full knowledge and understanding of the company’s handbook, SOPs, and processes; adhere to and enforce them fairly and consistently.
• Provide disciplinary action when necessary.
• Take immediate action on problems encountered in the hotel.
• Promote teamwork and associate morale.
• Communicate with all departments on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain communication with the front office to ensure accurate room forecasts.
• Conduct team member performance reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience leading a hotel housekeeping department is required.
