About the role
A confidential and innovative life sciences technology company is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive the development and commercialization of next-generation scientific instrumentation and platform technologies. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization at a pivotal stage and lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts that support advancements in biomedical research and drug development.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering strategy, product development, and technical execution across multiple disciplines.
- Drive the design, development, and commercialization of complex instrumentation platforms.
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.
- Partner with scientific, commercial, operations, and manufacturing stakeholders.
- Establish engineering processes that support innovation, quality, and scalability.
- Guide system architecture, integration, validation, and product lifecycle activities.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Significant experience developing scientific, biomedical, laboratory, or diagnostic instrumentation.
- Proven success leading engineering organizations and bringing products from concept to commercialization.
- Strong systems engineering and cross-functional leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
Preferred Experience
- Life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, laboratory automation, medical devices, or scientific instrumentation.
- High-growth, venture-backed, or innovation-driven environments.
- Commercial product development and multidisciplinary engineering leadership.
