About the role
AlixPartners is searching for an Energy & Process Industries (EPI) Partner who is passionate about delivering high value, complex opportunities. This practice serves clients across chemicals, energy, industrial materials, and process manufacturing, helping leadership teams solve high-impact challenges related to growth, performance improvement, operational excellence, digital transformation, and value creation.
The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the energy value chain has created significant demand for leaders who can combine deep technical credibility with industry expertise. To meet this need, AlixPartners is seeking a Partner with a strong foundation in AI, data science, and machine learning, coupled with meaningful experience delivering AI-enabled transformations within Chemicals, Mining, Utilities, Power, Renewables and related industries. This Partner will help clients identify, design, and implement AI solutions that improve decision-making, optimize operations, unlock commercial opportunities, and create sustainable competitive advantage. They will also play a key role in shaping and scaling AlixPartners' AI capabilities within the Energy practice.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, leading projects and client engagements on the ground.
- Analyze corporate performance, driving cost reductions, revenue growth, and profitability improvement.
- Lead AI implementations from concept through deployment and value realization.
- Build and develop new client relationships with public, private, and private equity-backed organizations.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and support clients based on expertise, leadership, and outstanding results on engagements.
- Lead business development in collaboration with C-Suite, funds, and financial institutions.
- Manage all aspects of engagements, such as restructurings, liquidations, receiverships, and judicial managements.
- Run day-to-day operations of a project, navigate disruption, manage project commercials and staffing, and mitigate risks.
- Define, communicate, motivate, and inspire change at executive levels and across broader stakeholder communities.
- Structure approaches to solve complex problems, synthesizing information rapidly to drive insights and solutions.
- Ensure a balanced and flexible approach, adapting direction as necessary.
- Align and scale data modeling and management approaches with client needs, applying an 80/20 approach to draw conclusions.
- Identify anomalies, inconsistencies, errors, and conclusions quickly.

Requirements
- Minimum 18+ years of consulting experience or equivalent experience in the Energy industry, with Chemicals preferred.
- 5+ years of Energy consulting experience in a professional services Firm environment preferred.
- 5+ years of meaningful AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or data science experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading AI implementations from concept through deployment and value realization.
- Solid track record of building and developing new client relationships leading to successful engagements.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and support clients based on expertise and leadership.
- Track record leading business development and working in collaboration with C-Suite, funds, and financial institutions.
- Proven track record in leading all aspects of engagements, such as restructurings, liquidations, receiverships, and judicial managements.
- High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and adapt to complex client environments and situations.
- Skilled at defining, communicating, motivating, and inspiring change at executive levels.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline required.
- Advanced degrees (Master's, PhD, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

Pay
The salary range for this role is between $230,000/year - $410,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
