Historically, software development has been embedded within individual product organizations, enabling teams to build solutions around a highly customized legacy environment. As we modernize our technology ecosystem, we are looking for a leader who can unify these teams, establish a cohesive engineering strategy, and help shape the next chapter of our transformation.This role is ideal for a technology leader who combines strategic thinking with execution, understands how to drive organizational change, and brings a strong product mindset to software engineering. What You'll Do Provide leadership across multiple engineering verticals, including: Application Development DevOps API & Microservices Software Quality Assurance, Testing, and Release Management Bring together currently fragmented teams and establish a modern operating model that drives alignment, accountability, and delivery excellence. Develop and execute an AI-enabled software development strategy that improves engineering velocity and business outcomes. Partner closely with Digital Product and business leaders to align engineering roadmaps and deliverables with organizational priorities. Create the framework for forward-deployed engineering teams embedded within business functions to accelerate innovation and execution. Lead teams through change while fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and a culture of ownership. Current Transformation Journey The organization is approximately halfway through a significant enterprise-wide transformation, including: Modernizing a highly legacy application landscape. Transitioning from Cerner Millennium to Oracle Health on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Migrating financial systems to Oracle Health on OCI. Building an enterprise data platform. Expanding the use of AI agents across business functions. Evolving from traditional analytics and reporting toward a data product and data monetization mindset. Exploring forward-deployed engineering models that bring technology closer to the business. What We're Looking For We're looking for more than a functional leader. Experience with modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, DevOps, and AI-enabled development. The ability to influence, align, and bring people along through change. A collaborative leadership style focused on working with teams rather than building organizational silos.
