Executive Director of Operations (Family and Community Engagement)

This position resides in the Office of Family and Community Engagement (F.A.C.E.).

About the Role

Directs and oversees through subordinate administrators the activities of staff who develop and coordinate an operations program for the assigned department. Ensures that operations support the educational mission of the School District. Specifically for Family and Community Engagement, directs and oversees staff who support partnerships among schools, families, and communities to engage and inform parent leaders and families as essential partners in helping students achieve academic proficiency and college and career readiness.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a culture of personal accountability, service, and support.
• Plans, organizes, and directs a large staff of professional employees engaged in family and community engagement activities.
• Develops and coordinates an operations program; establishes policy and program goals to ensure needed services; reviews and approves plans and programs for implementation; holds conferences with subordinate staff.
• Resolves complex operational problems; identifies areas of improvement and suggests methods for subordinate staff.
• Ensures compliance with governmental regulations governing family and community engagement programs.
• Prepares and assists with managing the budget for family and community engagement.
• Stays abreast of the latest developments in family and community engagement programs.
• Develops a strategic plan and performance evaluation metrics for monthly review and accountability.
• Leads key projects, including the business side of technology projects to improve service delivery.
• Develops and manages a family and community engagement program based on objective, equitable, academic support, and transparent services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of full-time, paid, professional operations experience, five of which must be in an administrative or supervisory capacity with responsibility for family and community engagement.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined acceptable by the Office of Talent.

Pay

$92,792 - $145,039 per year.
