About the role

The Executive Director of Language & Literacy will lead the development and implementation of language and literacy programs aimed at enhancing student achievement and closing achievement gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive language and literacy programs aligned with district goals.
  • Evaluate current language and literacy practices and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration of language and literacy strategies across the curriculum.
  • Oversee professional development initiatives focused on language and literacy skills.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of language and literacy initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to language and literacy education.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a K-12 setting.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes in language and literacy areas.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful language and literacy programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of best practices in language and literacy instruction.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of the impact of language and literacy on academic achievement.
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
