About the role

The Executive Director provides strategic, innovative, and collaborative leadership to advance evidence-informed teaching, instructional innovation, and student learning across the university. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Innovation (or designee), the Executive Director leads a centralized hub supporting faculty and graduate student development, instructional design, pedagogical innovation, and the effective, ethical use of educational technologies. The Executive Director works closely with academic leadership, colleges, university committees, student success units, information technology, and faculty governance to strengthen teaching and learning across all modalities.

Responsibilities

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience in teaching and pedagogical development.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly or creative achievement; proven leadership experience with academic initiatives; demonstrated commitment to innovative teaching and learning; leadership experience in a teaching and learning center, academic innovation hub, or similar unit; expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, learning science, or evidence-informed pedagogy; experience supervising and mentoring faculty, graduate students, and staff; experience with grant writing and generating external support; familiarity with learning analytics and impact evaluation.

Pay

$130,000 - $175,000 annually
