About the role

Supervises the overall day-to-day operation of the Licensed Departments of the Community to include Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. Ensures the highest quality operation in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards and resident satisfaction. This position supervises staff and reports to Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s Regional Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • On-site executive for all Licensed operations, acting as contact for department staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
  • Manage budget and cash flow, maintain budget accountability, aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits.
  • Hire, train, discipline, and terminate managerial employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation human resources policy.
  • Maintain all local, state, and federal licenses.
  • Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents to make informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect residents’ personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
  • Maintain superior training for staff, ensure that training programs are effectively executed.
  • Create an environment for pride and quality among all staff, encouraging them to their highest potential.
  • Ensure that buildings, grounds, and property are maintained at the highest standard of excellence through preventative maintenance systems and programs.
  • Maintain resident retention by working with residents and their families, dealing with any issues that arise.
  • Lead staff meetings.
  • Keep up-to-date with information about competitors.
  • Become an intricate part of the community in social and civic affairs by representing the property in local, state, and professional organizations.
  • Participate in the Manager On-Duty program.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
  • Participate and manage the MOD Program.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred area of study: Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
  • Preferably 2-5+ years of Administrator experience within sub-acute or long-term care.
  • Training or experience in gerontology and/or hospitality preferred.
  • Special certifications: Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with all others.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs (government requirements or exclusions may apply).

$150,000 per year.
