About the Role

This position leads the marketing function and brand responsibility for Cosela, including strategic market analysis, creating and implementing marketing strategies to drive company objectives, and developing high-impact marketing plans to meet corporate goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s comprehensive marketing strategy to drive growth and market penetration for Cosela.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the strategic direction of the company and align marketing efforts with broader business goals.
  • Communicate and present brand marketing strategies and plans to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with all commercial functions to create and implement strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership and innovation to keep Pharmacosmos at the forefront of the industry.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing plans to meet or exceed net sales, volume, and P&L targets for Cosela.
  • Direct the planning, development, and execution of all marketing initiatives, including personal and non-personal marketing initiatives, to build brand awareness, trial, and usage in a highly competitive market.
  • Collaborate with market access teams to identify and address barriers to access and ensure optimal product positioning.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance population health decision-maker engagement and relationships, ensuring coverage and formulary placement are integrated into the marketing plan.
  • Lead the execution of strategic and tactical plans, including development and deployment of sales tools, digital (omnichannel) marketing, speaker programs, and conventions.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market, customer, and industry knowledge.
  • Partner with the Supportive Care franchise leader to develop and refine marketing department operational procedures and policies to enhance communication and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze performance against revenue and expense budgets, ensuring the attainment of assigned corporate objectives.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously improve marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor market access trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of business leaders to support, develop, and direct pre-launch and post-launch plans and activities.
  • Partner with Medical on advocacy development among healthcare providers and other key decision-makers.
  • Lead the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of top marketing talent, ensuring compliance with Company EEO policy and Home Office HR processes and procedures.
  • Develop and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations, provide career development planning, and manage compensation actions.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with cross-functional team members, market access, medical, and sales.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement training programs and ensure cohesive execution of marketing strategies.
  • Stay current with and adhere to all corporate policies and government regulations.
  • Stay current with and adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in marketing, business, or life sciences required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of healthcare industry experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of Hematology and Oncology marketing experience, including product launch experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of market access experience, including knowledge of Payors, PBMs, IDNs, and GPOs.
  • Minimum 5 years leading cross-functional teams and people.
  • Extensive experience in the buy-and-bill and HEM/ONC required.
  • Proven track record in digital marketing, including marketing automation platform implementation and utilization.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop, and implement multi-dimensional commercial strategy and successful marketing plans.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to understand financial analysis and its impact on business.
  • Excellence in project management and effectively managing competing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of the evolving changes within the pharmaceutical industry and government regulations.
  • MS Office suite proficiency.
  • Documented track record of ability to recruit, retain, and develop highest quality staff.

Additional Information

  • Requires budgetary responsibilities and discretion with confidential data.
  • Traveling – approximately 30-40% of the time.
  • This position is hybrid, primarily located in our Morristown, NJ office.
