Executive Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics - Immunology

This role will lead the high-performing Commercial Insights and Analytics (I&A) team responsible for the Immunology Commercial Business Unit (CBU), driving deeper insights that inform business decisions across some of Regeneron’s leading brands.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Insights & Analytics (CSI&A), you will serve as a strategic advisor to the SVP, Commercial Immunology CBU, and partner with other leaders to grow and develop talent within the I&A organization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

Work location: Sleepy Hollow, NY (4 days per week on site). Up to 25% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the CSI&A Immunology team in providing business analytics, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to deliver rich insights that solve key business problems.
  • Set the strategic I&A direction that aligns with CBU priorities and drives commercial excellence.
  • Serve as a member of the Immunology CBU Leadership Team and the CSI&A leadership team to drive cross-commercial innovation and best-in-class delivery.
  • Translate complex analyses into compelling insights and recommendations for senior Regeneron teams, including the CBU, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Board of Directors.
  • Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective, with the goal of growing internal talent.
  • Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks to garner meaningful insights for brand differentiation, market growth, business impact, and pipeline-product potential.
  • Collaborate with the Immunology CBU and other senior leaders to contribute to ongoing brand strategies and decisions, including a long-term data, analytics, and insights roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with CBU stakeholders, ensuring insight generation and feedback are embraced while balancing project rigor, timelines, and influence.
  • Identify and crystallize insights that inform strategic plans for the Immunology CBU.
  • Work with other CSI&A leaders to standardize capabilities such as marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analyses, patient/treatment flow modeling, analog modeling, and ML/AI methodologies.
  • Proactively communicate strategic recommendations and insights to the Immunology CBU, anticipating future needs.
  • Construct and deliver integrated business reviews and I&A summary overviews with the Immunology CBU and CSI&A leadership.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience in roles of increasing accountability; prior experience with buy-and-bill brands in highly competitive markets is required.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in data science, public health, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Functional expertise in business analytics, customer insights, analog forecast development, market access, and competitive intelligence.
  • Prior experience managing I&A groups with responsibility for analytics, customer insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to commercialization in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • Knowledge of data industry standards.
  • Proven ability to influence, communicate, and negotiate with all levels of management across functional and business unit boundaries.
  • Extensive experience managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to balance project rigor and timeliness in I&A projects and initiatives.
  • Strategic-to-execution mindset with hands-on experience implementing large initiatives involving cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Expertise in data visualization and data storytelling.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflict, drive consensus, and work across multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational, project management, influencing, and change management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently while meeting stringent deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, MS).
  • Experience with co-promotes and the immunology disease category.

Pay

Salary range (annually): $255,000 – $424,900.
