Job Summary
Essential Functions
Lead with Purpose
- Evaluate program outcomes
- Oversee operations, budgeting, staffing, and development initiatives
- Ensure long-term sustainability and program excellence
Strengthen Community Partnerships
- Build lasting relationships with local governments, nonprofits, regional organizations, and business leaders
Grow Educational Impact
- Expand experiential learning opportunities—internships, service-learning, and research assistantships
- Immerse Pitt-Bradford students in rural engagement
Advance Community-Engaged Research
- Guide and disseminate research that tackles challenges and unlocks new opportunities for rural communities
Qualifications
- At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, research, community organizations, or related fields
- Expertise in rural studies, public policy, sociology, public health, economic development, regional planning, or similar disciplines (master’s degree preferred)
- Demonstrated success building cross-sector partnerships and engaging diverse stakeholders
- Outstanding communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills
- A commitment to elevating rural voices and strengthening rural futures through innovation, collaboration, and research-informed practice
Pay
$64,000 - $86,000
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; nights and weekends as needed
