About the role
The Executive Director, Capital Projects will lead and mentor staff while managing internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary design and construction teams. Key responsibilities include leading the design, procurement, and execution of major construction and infrastructure initiatives across the Roswell Park campus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor staff while managing internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
- Oversee the development of procurement strategies, manage design and construction procurement processes, and ensure successful project delivery from concept through occupancy.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar capital projects and associated budgets.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including experience presenting project plans, budgets, schedules, and outcomes to senior leadership, authorities having jurisdiction, and community partners.
- Proficiency with contract documents and the ability to foster collaboration among clinical, research, administrative, and facilities partners.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business administration or relevant field, and Registered Architect or Professional Engineer or PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or related professional registration and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time experience in project management, design, construction or construction management, including at least two (2) years in a senior leadership capacity managing major capital projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business administration or relevant field, and Registered Architect or Professional Engineer or PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or related professional registration and the equivalent of ten (10) years of full-time experience in project management, design, construction or construction management, including at least two (2) years in a senior leadership capacity managing major capital projects.
