TerraBella Senior Living is seeking an Executive Director to lead one of our communities. Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and management of the community in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Owners/Board of Directors, Discovery Management Group, and federal/state/local laws and regulations.
- Communicate and model a clear, customer-focused vision based on a resident-centered model of care.
- Identify and build relationships within the local area to drive business into the community, effectively price the product, and maximize top-line revenue growth to achieve appropriate market position.
- Ensure the community has an effective external business development strategy with clear accountabilities, and adjust the plan to maximize referral leads and move-ins.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures; ensure compliance.
- Maintain resident administrative files, ensuring they are current and compliant with state regulations.
- Meet financial targets to maximize capital partners’ return.
- Demonstrate functional knowledge of all operating programs, including memory care, clinical, dining, and social programs.
- Prepare and adhere to the community budget, ensuring budgeted revenue is achieved or exceeded by maximizing occupancy and room rate.
- Review monthly financial statements and implement plans of action for deficiencies.
- Manage key, non-labor operating costs in line with budgeted levels.
- Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely per policies and internal business controls.
- Meet NOI and occupancy expectations.
- Oversee all departments, maintaining full responsibility for efficient operations and compliance with financial goals established in the approved Operating Budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Hospitality, Hospital Administration, or a health-related field.
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality industries.
- Previous management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, and discipline.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing operating expenses.
- Administrator License/certification.
- Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well.
