About the role

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking an Executive Director to lead one of its communities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality, along with a proven track record in operational management and financial oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage the community according to Owners/Board of Directors, Discovery Management Group, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate and model a clear, customer-focused vision based on a resident-centered model of care.
  • Identify and build relationships within the local area to drive business into the community and effectively price products to maximize top-line revenue growth and achieve appropriate market position.
  • Develop an effective external business development strategy with clear accountabilities assigned, and be able to articulate results and adjust plans accordingly to maximize referral leads and move-ins.
  • Ensure the community complies with state regulations, policies, and procedures related to residents.
  • Maintain well-maintained, current, and compliant resident administrative files.
  • Meet financial targets to maximize capital partners' return.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all operating programs including memory care, clinical, dining, and social programs.
  • Prepare and adhere to the community budget.
  • Maximize occupancy and room rates by achieving budgeted revenue.
  • Review and implement plans for deficiencies in monthly financial statements.
  • Manage key, non-labor operating costs within budgeted levels.
  • Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data in a timely manner according to policies and internal business controls.
  • Meet NOI and occupancy expectations.
  • Oversee all departments, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with financial goals established in the approved Operating Budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Hospitality, Hospital Administration, or Health related field.
  • Minimum of three years of managerial experience, preferably in the senior living, health care, or hospitality industries.
  • Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, and discipline.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstration of success in managing operating expenses.
  • Administrator License/certification.
  • Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well.
