About the role
TerraBella Senior Living is seeking an Executive Director to lead one of its communities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality, with a focus on operational excellence and resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the community in alignment with owners' and board's guidelines, Discovery Management Group standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate and embody a clear, customer-focused vision based on a resident-centered model of care.
- Build and maintain relationships within the local area to attract businesses and maximize revenue growth.
- Develop and implement an effective business development strategy, assigning clear responsibilities and tracking results.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and procedures regarding residents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident administrative files, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Achieve financial targets, focusing on maximizing capital partners' returns.
- Gain functional knowledge of all operating programs, including memory care, clinical, dining, and social programs.
- Prepare and adhere to the community budget, meeting or exceeding budgeted revenue.
- Analyze and implement corrective actions for financial statements.
- Manage key, non-labor operating costs within budgeted levels.
- Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data in a timely manner according to policies and internal business controls.
- Achieve NOI and occupancy targets.
- Oversee all departments, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with financial goals outlined in the approved Operating Budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Hospital Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience, preferably in senior living, health care, or hospitality industries.
- Previous management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, and discipline.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing operating expenses.
- Administrator License/certification.
- Leadership qualities, including confidence, inspiration, and motivation.
