What You’ll Do
- Lead with a resident-first mindset, prioritizing compassionate care, safety, and quality of life.
- Cultivate a culture of teamwork, transparency, and open communication across all departments.
- Hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team of caregivers and support staff.
- Oversee medical, nursing, and administrative functions to ensure smooth and effective daily operations.
- Enforce policies and procedures that support high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and manage the community budget, monitor expenses, revenue, and occupancy.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, revenue growth, and operational improvement.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families.
- Engage with the local community to promote Americare’s mission and strengthen the community’s reputation.
- Oversee building maintenance, improvements, and equipment upgrades to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and team members.
What You Bring
- Licensure & Credentials: Current state Administrator licensure or certification, as required by state regulations. Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Certified Medication Technician (CMT), if required by the state. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant fields may include Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Gerontology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age. Proven experience successfully managing, leading, and developing teams in a senior living or healthcare leadership role.
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and relationships with residents, families, team members, and community partners. Solid understanding of healthcare regulations, medical terminology, medication management protocols, and compliance standards.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally assist with safely transferring residents. Vision requirements include near and far vision with good depth perception.
