About the Team

The Global Planning team is a critical component of Cisco’s Global Supply Chain, responsible for forecasting demand and planning supply to optimize fulfillment service level and cost to serve for a multi-billion-dollar hardware portfolio. Responsibilities

  • Provide support to VP, Supply Chain Planning in calendaring, travel, expenses, budgets, along with management and oversight of special projects, as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead onsite events for the Austin Supply Chain Operations organization.
  • Become familiar with the products, people, and organizational dynamics within Cisco to handle incoming asks for time, meetings, resources, and other needs from your executive with a great degree of independence.
  • Determine when to refer matters to others and ensure accurate disposition, making sure nothing goes unresolved.
  • Engage with the team and build community throughout the team in Austin.
  • Calendar Management: Manage VP's calendar by prioritizing schedules and meetings, deciding who gets on the calendar, which meetings are attended, and who can attend in their place.
  • Meeting Planning and Organizing: Assist VP in planning and organizing meetings by assembling the agenda, arranging location, meeting technology (WebEx, TP), and all other logistics. Prepare meeting briefing documents, take and disseminate notes, and formulate post-meeting action item lists.
  • Correspondence/Approvals: Act as proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Answer general questions, refer routine matters to appropriate parties, and follow up to ensure accurate completion. Resolve issues within specified policies and guidelines, and mentor administrative community members on problem-solving. Determine when executive action is required and provide recommendations where appropriate.
  • Travel and Expense Management: Make in-depth global travel arrangements for VP, considering optimum travel arrangements and itinerary while handling Cisco expenses. Work with airlines to accommodate Global Services benefits for upgrades when available.
  • Special Projects: Provide analytical support to assist leaders on special projects, including researching issues, analyzing problems, compiling data, and preparing reports.
  • Onsite Events and Program Support: Lead and support onsite event execution, including supplier visit support, general in-person office support, program logistics, and communications.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in an administrative environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a principal at the director level or above.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in calendar management, planning meetings, and coordinating travel.
  • Onsite in Austin office 2–3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of executive/senior staff and suppliers.
  • Collaborative style with excellent teamwork.
  • Champions improvements, solves problems, and makes decisions.
  • Past work experience in the high-tech industry is desired.
  • Associate’s degree.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $84,800.00 to $111,500.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below:

  • New York City Metro Area: $99,300.00 - $172,800.00
  • Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $92,000.00 - $141,800.00

For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

    • Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, with no defined limit on vacation time (subject to availability and business limitations).
    • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, with up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next.
    • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members.
    • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
  • For non-sales roles, employees are eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.
  • Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays:
    • 0.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota.
    • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%.
    • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%.
    • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
    For non-quota-based sales performance elements, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target.

Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
