About the Role

The GES Central Customer Experience team provides support to 130 customers across the Midwestern United States, leveraging the combined expertise of our Solution Design Architects, Customer Experience Managers, and Service Delivery Managers. Our mission is to drive exceptional customer satisfaction and product adoption by delivering best-in-class professional services that ensure our clients realize the full value of their Cisco investments. This role can be performed from any location within the United States but has a strong preference for working CST or EST hours.

Responsibilities

  • Calendar Management: Handles VP's calendar by prioritizing schedules and meetings. Decides who gets on the principal’s calendar, which meetings are attended, and who can attend in their place.
  • Event Speaking Engagement Coordination: Manages a running list of VP’s engagements and works closely with the communications team to ensure content needs are understood and set in motion so VP is prepared for each engagement.
  • Meeting Planning and Organization: Assists VP in planning and organizing meetings by assembling the agenda, location, meeting technology based on participant needs, and all other meeting logistics. Prepares meeting briefing documents, takes and disseminates notes, and formulates post-meeting action item lists.
  • Travel Briefing Preparation: Builds travel packs for international trips and large domestic events, combining all event information, coordinated logistics, and customer/team asks.
  • Correspondence/Approvals: Acts as a proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Answers general questions, refers routine matters to appropriate parties, and follows up to ensure accurate completion. Takes initiative to resolve issues within specified policies and guidelines and provides mentoring to administrative community members on problem-solving.
  • Travel and Expense Management: Makes in-depth global travel arrangements for VP, considering optimum travel arrangements and itineraries. Handles Cisco expenses and works with airlines to accommodate Global Services benefits for upgrades.
  • Special Projects: Provides analytical support to assist executives on special projects. Researches issues, analyzes problems, compiles data, and prepares reports.
  • Large Corporate Events: Prepares and briefs itineraries and accompanies VP for large Corporate Events such as GSX.
  • Confidentiality: Deals professionally with sensitive and confidential matters and materials.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience in an administrative environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a principal at the director level or above.
  • Expert level knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in calendar management, planning meetings, and coordinating travel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to connect with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past work experience in the high-tech industry is desired; prior Cisco experience preferred.
  • Associates degree.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $84,800.00 to $111,500.00, with specific ranges for certain locations:

  • New York City Metro Area: $99,300.00 - $172,800.00
  • Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $92,000.00 - $141,800.00

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.

Schedule

  • Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation per year, accrued at 4.92 hours per pay period.
  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program with no defined limit.
  • Employees in Illinois participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
