About the role
This position acts as Executive Assistant to the Commission and the Director. It performs administrative duties for the Deputy Director for Education and general education-related assignments as requested. The role is also responsible for mailing renewal notices and preparing certificates for professional corporations and limited liability companies, among various other duties.
Responsibilities
- Arrange Commission Meeting sites and handle Commissioner travel needs for meetings.
- Prepare exhibits, mailings, and update manuals.
- Perform clerical duties as necessary.
- Mail notifications and prepare letters and reports according to deadlines established by the Director.
- Prepare accurate approval/rejection letters after Commission Meetings.
- Assist with other office tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods, including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency.
- Experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work, including the use of personal computers and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years' experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Experience in a legal setting or regulatory knowledge of legal terminology.
Skills
Knowledge of:
- Administrative office clerical support procedures.
Skilled in:
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Using Microsoft applications.
- Use of computer.

- Organize workload.
