Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists with scheduling events, meetings, and the general maintenance of the Attorney General’s calendar.
- Prepares logistical and background briefing memos for the Attorney General’s public appearances and in-house meetings.
- Advances and staffs the Attorney General at public engagements as assigned.
- Researches and prepares special requests.
- Processes invitations, responds to scheduling inquiries.
- Briefs the Attorney General on scheduling requests as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, journalism, or public relations.
- At least two years professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
- A working knowledge of Illinois state government.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver’s license.
- The ability to travel throughout the state.
- The ability to work occasional overtime and outside normal work hours.
Supplemental Information
Position requires in-office attendance.
