About the role

The Executive Assistant supports the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Dave & Buster’s, a company dedicated to creating innovative entertainment experiences. The role involves managing the COO's complex calendar, coordinating executive meetings, travel, and field visits, preparing materials, and supporting various business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage the COO’s complex calendar, aligning time to the highest-priority business needs.
  • Cook up executive meetings, operating reviews, field visits, leadership meetings, one-on-ones, vendor meetings, and other key business engagements.
  • Manage complex domestic travel, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, detailed itineraries, and last-minute changes.
  • Cook up store and market visits to help maximize the COO’s time in the field.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, briefing materials, reports, spreadsheets, and other executive-level documents.
  • Track key action items, decisions, commitments, and deadlines to help ensure follow-through across the Operations organization.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for senior executives, field leadership, vendors, and external partners.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts, travel disruptions, and competing priorities and proactively resolve issues.
  • Cook up leadership events, meetings, conferences, and other special programs.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc business needs on behalf of the COO.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience supporting a senior executive, preferably at the C-suite level.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume, complex executive calendar.
  • Strong experience coordinating executive travel and multi-market itineraries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and Office 365.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions independently within appropriate parameters.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities with urgency and composure.
  • Confidence interacting with executives, senior leaders, field teams, and external partners.
  • A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong follow-through.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience supporting a COO, President, CEO, or other senior operating executive.
  • Experience in a large, multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, entertainment, retail, or consumer-facing organization.
  • Experience working with field-based leadership teams across multiple markets.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership meetings, operating reviews, or Board-related materials.
  • Experience coordinating complex travel schedules involving multiple cities or markets.
