Executive Assistant (Temporary)
About the Role
Vir Biotechnology is looking for a Temporary Executive Assistant (EA) to provide comprehensive administrative support, enabling our leaders to focus on strategic priorities and key initiatives while supporting their teams effectively. This role is based in our San Francisco, California office with the expectation to be onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate complex meetings and events with internal teams and a wide range of external partners, including accommodating scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes.
- Manage highly sensitive and confidential information regarding business strategies, organizational priorities, and key initiatives with discretion.
- Facilitate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Gather briefing materials for meetings and ensure timely follow-up and consistent communication.
- Organize domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, transportation, and itineraries.
- Process expense reports.
- Support special projects, team initiatives, or event planning as needed.
- Be the go-to person for day-to-day administrative needs and problem-solving for those you support.
- Anticipate needs and help ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience with at least 3+ years supporting either C-level executives.
- Experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and calendar management tools (e.g., Outlook).

Pay
The expected hourly range for this position is $58.00 to $82.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
