An established biotech company in Somerville is looking for a strategic, detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the CFO and help drive operational excellence.
About the role
This is a high-impact position that ensures all administrative and operational tasks run smoothly while serving as a trusted information hub for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily executive administrative support: calendar management, conference calls, correspondence, presentation materials, expense reports, and business travel arrangements.
- Assemble and analyze information; prepare reports, manuals, agendas, and memoranda following company practice.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, off-site conferences, and community events.
- Screen and redirect calls, take messages, handle mail, and follow up on cross-departmental requests.
- Receive visitors and assist with various tasks.
- Serve as a key information resource for employees on corporate and HR programs and functions.
- Participate in high-priority, cross-functional HR projects as assigned.
- Research, analyze, and provide feedback on policies, procedures, and issues.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring internal operating systems and procedures.
- Interface with Board Members, senior management, employees, and outside vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in Biotech or Pharma.
- Prior management experience, preferably supporting a CFO.
- High-level expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Calendar, SharePoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact comfortably at all levels, including Board members and senior management.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated poise, judgment, discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal direction, exercise judgment, creativity, and analytical thinking.
Pay
$120,000 per year.
