Executive Assistant

Job Summary

The Executive Assistant is primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining an environment that is respectful and responsive to students, parents, and community partners. They will support the Chief of Schools by performing a variety of administrative duties associated with the overall operation of the Network.

Qualifications

• Education Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience Required: Minimum of five (5) years of administrative support experience. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience supporting senior-level executives preferred. Minimum three (3) years as a School Clerk or Network support staff preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal), working knowledge or the ability to learn CPS applications: KRONOS, Verify, ORACLE, Dashboard and Google Drive application, strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills, excellent judgment and professionalism, proficient with MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and Kronos.

Conditions of Employment

• Establish/Maintain Chicago Residency - Employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district.
