Job Summary

About the role

Performs administrative duties and office support activities for an officer of Cummins.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the annual business cycle and anticipates the executive’s needs regarding preparation for and scheduling of activities;
  • Schedules meetings, calls, and other interactions based on the priorities of the executive;
  • Schedules travel;
  • Completes expense reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Understands business etiquette;
  • Interacts and works successfully with senior leaders of Cummins’ customers and suppliers to ensure that customer needs are addressed while balancing an executive’s other responsibilities and commitments;
  • Researches solutions to questions and responds independently to email and phone inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Eight year experience/education requirement accomplished through one of the following: Bachelors degree and at least four years of relevant experience, associates degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or at least eight years of relevant experience required.
  • Three to five years of executive administrative assistant experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced, executive environment.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with senior leaders and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) with demonstrated ability to create executive-ready materials.
  • Relevant administrative or business support experience (typically 3–5+ years supporting senior leaders or equivalent roles).

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Administrative Assistant and/or Microsoft Office certifications preferred.
