Exchange Traded Funds - Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting
About the role
Conduct accounting services for assigned clients and complex funds, including determining net asset values (NAVs), calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
Lead and guide junior team members for assigned clients or funds; perform specialist review functions and provide input into methodologies, driving service improvement plans and process efficiencies.
Provide guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts or transactions; resolve reconciliations for the most complex or atypical transactions and review junior team members’ work.
Draft and structure client reports on the performance of highly complex funds; regularly interact with clients to answer questions and resolve multifaceted issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
Evaluate GAAP and/or IFRS rules to assess the impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices.
Contribute to the achievement of related team objectives; may be tasked with Team Lead responsibilities and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7–10 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS, with the ability to evaluate regulatory impacts on fund accounting practices.
