About the role
As the Excellerate Apprentice I, you are responsible for installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within commercial and industrial settings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Enrollment in Electrical Apprenticeship-Level 1 (if applicable)
- Travel: 0-25%
Schedule
- Between the hours of 5 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday
- May vary based on customer demands and can include nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and provide basic troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Install electrical raceways and wire, lighting, controls, machinery, and electrical distribution equipment under the supervision of an experienced Journeymen Electrician
- Demonstrate appropriate skills of a First Year Apprentice
- Install and bend conduit using manual, mechanical, and hydraulic benders
- Perform wire and cable pulls
- Wiring – stripping, splice two wires, install switch and receptacle, draw 3 switches to control one light
- Knowledge of different types of anchors and supports and how to properly install
- Competent with a tape measure and level
- Knowledge of different sizes of conductors and phase colors of voltages
- Assist with material handling duties on the jobsite
- Provide technical assistance to other apprentices as needed
- Maintain compliance with company policies
- Maintain compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements
- Clean and maintain tools, test equipment, and jobsite
- Actively participate in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
