Excavator Operator - Cornelius, NC

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of contractor equipment including backhoe, road grader, and front-end loader.
• Digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, and equipment.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Works in compliance with safety and security standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of experience involving the use of medium and heavy equipment, two of which must have been related to pipe operations.
• Valid CDL License preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with normal days and hours of work being Monday – Friday. Work may be local or out of town, requiring overnight stays. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work. Overtime is anticipated.
