This role is for a combined Technical Leadership and Engineering Manager Role. Our Systems Engineering group is a high-performance technical organization comprised of Electronic Attack (EA) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with backgrounds spanning the Engineering Disciplines. The focus of our group is to provide customers a wide range of services and products as the Center of Excellence for EA solutions.

We develop highly sophisticated digital Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and we are looking for motivated and positive minded engineers highly skilled in Electronic Attack to join cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Technical

  • Develop new EA capabilities for application in EW systems
  • Perform systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements
  • Develop operational systems concepts
  • Perform system architecture trade studies
  • Originate design concepts or perform systems level integration and test for highly complex systems
  • Prepare and/or deliver basic customer and technical presentations
  • Track program execution through metrics and technical reviews
  • Provide support to program proposal cost estimates by developing or reviewing Basis of Estimates that include quantified risks and opportunities
  • Participate in independent design reviews, architecture review boards and other technical reviews
  • Develop roadmaps

Functional Manager

  • Manage a small group of staff and hold a technical advisor role on our Tech Advisory Panel
  • Promote and help realize the Electronic Attack Capability Group objectives as you lead and build a High-Performance Systems Engineering team
  • Recruit, retain, train, recognize, develop and assign team members as appropriate to meet business area needs
  • Develop individual and group goals and objectives
  • Communicate flow-down
  • Collect and provide performance feedback
  • Mentor careers by development of career and training plans
  • Ensure group members adhere to BAE Systems' cultural principals, policies and vision
  • Hold position in the EA capability groups Technical Advisory Board

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • 8 years of work experience
  • Some experience with offensive (stand-off/escort) and/or defensive (self-protection) EA systems
  • Basic EW system design knowledge as it relates to the detection and countering of radar and missile system engagements
  • Understand EA/ESM systems’ architectures
  • Experience with systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test)

Qualifications

  • M.S. in either Systems, Software, or Electrical Engineering
  • Functional Management experience (e.g., performance management, staffing)
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • Additional skills within the Electronic Attack (EA)/Electronic Warfare Support (ES) portions of Electronic Warfare (EW) to include:
    • Understand radar signal processing techniques
    • Understand radar operation and employment
    • Understand digital signal processing concepts including FFT and DRFM

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $153,377 – $260,743

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
