EVT MECHANIC
About the role
EVT Certified Mechanic Transdev in Florence County seeks an experienced Mechanic to join their team. Key responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, collaborating with teams, conducting preventive maintenance, and leading diagnostic tests.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
Physical Requirements
- The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
