About the Role
As an EVS Unit Director, you will oversee work scheduling for all department personnel, establish work standards, conduct site evaluations and audits, manage overall inventory and equipment usage, control budgets, perform employee performance appraisals, and handle troubleshooting and problem-solving. You will also provide orientation and training for department managers and support personnel, manage customer relations, and complete special projects as requested. This role ensures all managed services are delivered in a proper and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Control expenses within area of responsibility.
- Develop and recommend the Department Operating Budget and ensure the department operates within the budget.
- Evaluate and justify supplies, equipment, and purchases as needed.
- Maintain records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department.
- Establish work standards and workflow.
- Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with the client and hospital personnel to meet contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
- Ensure environmental procedures are being followed.
- Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
- Proactively work toward achieving hospital goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
Qualifications
- Employees in Healthcare are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment at Xanitos, absent a legally required Medical or Religious exception, and are required to report their vaccination status and upload proof of vaccination via a secure online portal.

Education
