EVS Manager -1st shift

We are seeking an Environmental Services Manager for the 1st shift at DeTar Hospital Navarro in Victoria, TX.

About the Role

As an EVS Manager, you will manage associates in the Environmental Services department under the oversight of the Unit Director. You will serve as a liaison between hospital departments and the Environmental Services department to provide the highest possible level of service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the staff selection process, including interviewing candidates as needed.
• Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations while ensuring departmental needs are met.
• Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and equipment use.
• Ensure staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
• Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to maximize performance.
• Discipline associates when necessary, following progressive disciplinary guidelines.
• Prepare disciplinary and variance reports, conduct follow-up investigations, and report findings to the Department Director.
• Prepare disciplinary action notices and conduct follow-up as required.
• Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.

Requirements

• High School diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work some differing shifts.
• Strong service/quality attitude and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
