About the role

The EVS Tech I plays a key role in maintaining a healthy workplace by performing disinfection and infection prevention tasks. This position ensures a clean, organized, and disinfected environment for employees and visitors, with a focus on timely room cleaning to support hospital patient throughput. The role may require adjusting daily workflows or area assignments to meet hospital or discharge flow needs.

Pay

Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.

Schedule

This is an hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a disinfected environment.
• Ensure timely room cleans, particularly to support hospital patient throughput.
• Adjust daily workflow or area assignments to meet hospital or discharge flow needs.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months’ experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services.
• Certificate in Non-Acute Care Cleaning (CNACC) certification or Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification.
