EVS Tech I
Overview
The EVS Tech I, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to promoting a healthy workplace through disinfection and infection prevention. The EVS Tech I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks while ensuring an organized and disinfected environment for employees and visitors. This role also ensures timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital patient throughput, and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/discharge flow needs.
Pay
Expected pay for this position is $17.00 – $18.89 per hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: At least 6 months of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services.
- Preferred: Certification in Non‑Acute Care Cleaning (CNACC) or Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST).
