About the role

Performs essential cleaning functions and properly maintains all areas of the casino and grounds in an attractive and orderly manner.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, washing windows/walls/brass/waste receptacles, trash collection, sidewalk snow removal/de-ice, etc.
• Properly sanitizes and cleans restrooms, and regularly stocks with supplies.
• Adheres to proper methods for cleaning and safety procedures, including chemical use, blood borne pathogens, and lifting/moving heavy objects/furniture.
• Performs duties in a positive and professional manner, and is friendly and courteous to guests and associates.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the casino and department.
• Performs duties of the shampoo crew and/or scrub crew as needed.
• Attends all meetings and/or training as directed by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Comprehensive customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good organizational skills required.
• Ability to obtain gaming license.
• Bi-cultural experience preferred.
• Native American preference.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction and correspondence.

Conditions of Employment

• Must have a telephone.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, frequently above waist height.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.
