About the role
Atlantic Health Clinical Operations Center is seeking a Per Diem EVS/Transport Dispatcher at Florham Park/Morristown. Required hours vary including one weekend per month. Starting rate $21.32/hr.
Essential Job Functions
- Serves as an EVS and/or transport dispatcher, categorizes and tracks all requests for Environmental Services and transport dispatches based on priority.
- Serves as a point of contact for all incoming calls, emails and/or in-person requests, future requests and staff assignments to address requests and break schedules.
- Captures and documents all calls/concerns requesting Environmental or Transport Services on the department tracking system.
- Coordinates for room setup requests received by Environmental Services/transport via secure chat phone or in-person for various training and conferences at AHS facilities.
- Produces regular departmental dispatch/service request reports, lunch break schedules and daily coordination of staff coverage.
- Manages end of shift report daily.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- College degree in EVS/Transport or related field preferred.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Good customer service skills required.
- Relevant Experience: 2-3 years of experience in dispatching, healthcare operations, administration and/or relevant area in a hospital environment preferred.
