EVS Clean Room Technician

About the role

According to established policies and procedures, conducts special cleaning and disinfecting of assigned areas of the hospital that are required to be sterile, assuring a clean and dust/lint-free environment. This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect operating rooms, Cath lab, C-section rooms, Special Procedures, and Pharmacy Compounding areas.
• Remove all trash, dirty linen, biohazard, pharmaceutical waste, and sharps from designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock in assigned restrooms, including hoppers, shields, and scrub sink areas.
• Damp wipe all horizontal surfaces with hospital-approved EPA-registered disinfectant; change cloths and pads after each room.
• Follow safety rules and operate cleaning equipment safely; report hazards and equipment issues.
• Perform OR room turnover, including cleaning the table, equipment, and mopping floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor based on departmental needs.
• Comply with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Attend variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
• Demonstrate use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and requirements.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Evening Shift, 8 hours)
• Every other weekend, every other holiday
• Days: Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Pay

$15.00 - $23.32 per hour (Non-Exempt)

• Work is considered sedentary
• Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment
• Frequent to Constant Activities: Standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, repetitive movements, precise motor skills, hearing, and vision
