EVS ATTENDANT

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, areas between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows and ledges, restaurants, lighting, walls, counter tops, furniture, and decorative objects in the casino or common areas
• Vacuum carpet, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean spills
• Clean up biohazardous materials according to established guidelines
• Remove trash from containers and place into dumpsters
• Use cleaning solutions and equipment properly
• Replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers
• Clean and polish furniture, marble, brass fixtures, brass floor plates, entrance door brass, and kick door brass plates
• Clean escalators and elevators
• Know locations of all casino facilities
• Straighten chairs as needed
• Remove glasses, cups, paper, and debris from assigned areas per procedure
• Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn and follow direction
• Ability to operate equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive, strategic approach to issues
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
