About the Role
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and attractive appearance of the casino and other buildings owned and/or operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
- Deliver our Five Star Experience by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards (Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized, and Valued).
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker areas, employee break rooms (floors, walls, dust), and other assigned work areas.
- Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dust and polish metalwork, fixtures, furniture, and equipment on all surface areas, including slot machines and electric escalators.
- Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays; transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
- Replenish restroom supplies according to anticipated need and/or schedules; provide soap and paper towels during peak times.
- Clean contaminated spills with appropriate cleaning materials and protective equipment; disinfect lavatories, floors, and fixtures after each use.
- Transport small equipment or tools between departments as assigned by supervisor.
- Caution management regarding complaints about misuse of property.
- Communicate job issues appropriately and only based on facts.
- Clean windows and doors.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to guests and vendors; assist them as required.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures; attend scheduled safety meetings and training.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass periodic random drug screens.
- Must pass a background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License and all other applicable certifications and licenses.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

- Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Occasionally required to use repetitive movements.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May occasionally work in low-light conditions and be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.
Work Environment
- Multiple locations, some open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
- Must be flexible to work any and all hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
- Some enterprises are gaming facilities and may not be smoke-free.
- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises 24/7.
