About the Role

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and attractive appearance of the casino and other buildings owned and/or operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
• Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards, including consistency performing our service expectations of: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized, and Valued.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker areas, employee break rooms (floors, walls, dust), and other assigned work areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust and polish metalwork, fixtures, furniture, and equipment on all surface areas, including slot machines and electric escalators.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
• Replenish restroom supplies according to anticipated need and/or schedules, and provide soap and paper towels to patrons during peak or busy times when necessary.
• Clean contaminated spills with appropriate cleaning materials and protective equipment, and disinfect lavatories, floors, and fixtures after each use.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments as assigned by supervisor.
• Caution management regarding complaints about misuse of property.
• Communicate job issues appropriately and only based on facts.
• Clean windows and doors.
• Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
• Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and assist them as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must pass periodic random drug screens.
• Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
• Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
• Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Occasionally required to use upper extremities, including hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Occasionally required to use repetitive movements to complete tasks.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• May occasionally work in low-light conditions and be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Multiple locations, some open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Must be flexible to work any and all hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
• Some enterprises are gaming facilities and may not be smoke-free.
• Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
