Job Summary

Position Summary
Promotes a culture of cleanliness and safety by providing environmental cleaning services.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner, according to manufacturer specifications.
• Collects infectious and non-infectious waste in all areas in appropriate containers.
• Performs discharge cleaning/detail cleaning of all areas.
• Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors.
• Cleans bathrooms.
• Stocks supplies in areas, carts, and supply room.
• Performs high dusting of ceiling vents and ledges over shoulder height.
• Dusts horizontal ledges and surfaces below shoulder height.
• Vacuums all carpeting and carpet edge, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.
• Cleans spots off of walls and doors and/or reports maintenance issues timely.
• Maintains accurate records including discharges, linen weight, isolation weight, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets and Kronos corrections.
• Maintains cart and chemical supplies in a safe, secured manner around patients and visitors.
• Performs terminal cleans as necessary.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Special Skills: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.
• Ability to prioritize work. Must have good customer service skills.
• Minimum Requirements: Education - Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.
• Preferred Requirements: Education - High school or equivalent.
• Experience - Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
