EVS Assistant Director

About the role

Xanitos is seeking an EVS Assistant Director for Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital in Clarksville, TN. The Assistant Director will oversee the operational needs of the EVS Department, coordinate tasks, ensure training, schedule staff, and act as an administrative liaison.

Responsibilities

• Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all EVS staff.
• Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate EVS services.
• Select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility EVS personnel.
• Orientate, train, and supervise supervisory/EVS staff.
• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of facility; recommend improvements.
• Provide monthly administrative progress reports.
• Schedule major projects and ensure adequate staff and supplies.
• Maintain and establish standards and work procedures for all EVS staff.
• Coordinate outside services for the EVS department.
• Discipline associates when necessary.
• Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly facility.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos' culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Meet performance plans.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent or better.
• Two to four years supervisory experience in EVS or service-related field with high customer/client contact.
