About the Role
This position oversees Commercial Banking Relationship Managers in executing their duties, including sourcing loan and deposit opportunities, negotiating and issuing term sheets, performing analysis and due diligence, underwriting proposed loan requests, and ensuring compliance and audit readiness. The role involves supervising or leading client engagement, structuring and guiding credit requests through credit administration, and ensuring all duties align with company policies, procedures, and U.S. state and federal laws.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of a sound and controlled business development and retention program for your team, aligning with executive management philosophies, policies, and goals.
- Direct and monitor results from a team of Relationship Managers and support staff.
- Ensure team activity complies with the Bank’s compliance and audit programs.
- Generate new loans and deposits consistent with Bank underwriting and compliance standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while meeting their banking needs.
- Advise and update senior management on timely changes in the portfolio.
- Identify and interview suitable candidates for open positions.
- Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
- Manage, support, coach, and train employees.
- Follow all established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven or more years of lending/credit and banking experience.
- At least three or more years of experience managing three or more people.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CPA or MBA is desirable.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with an entrepreneurial work ethic.
- Ability to travel for client visits and other meetings as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay
The base salary offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, in alignment with market data and other factors.
