Evisceration Technician-Day shift

About the Role

This position involves performing all evisceration production work on a rotation basis within a processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs all positions on the line in evisceration.
• Participates as a member of the team, contributing to the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members and attends team meetings.
• Fosters team cohesiveness on major issues such as direction, annual plans, budgets, and policy changes.
• Identifies areas lacking cohesiveness and works with the team to resolve issues while reinforcing actions needed for synergy.
• Understands and supports Simmons' operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN).
• Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Able to efficiently work in a plant environment with regular standing, reaching, and moving about the facility.
• Light to moderate physical effort required.
• Must use waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair nets, and other protective equipment as required.
• Preferred experience working around machinery and knowledge of a processing facility.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in English (spelling, grammar, and composition) may be required depending on the position.
