Events & Operations Manager

About the role
We are seeking an operationally savvy Events & Operations Manager to join our team. This role involves successful execution and coordination of catering and events in clubs, offices, and residences, as well as managing all F&B outlets. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong passion for service. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage staff, build service standards, and run events from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations for events, including managing scheduling, operational preparations, conducting pre-shifts, and leading event staff to host successful events.
- Oversee venue setup, ensuring polished presentation in line with luxury hospitality standards.
- Liaise between club management, vendors, and internal teams to ensure flawless timing and execution.
- Oversee service flow in collaboration with F&B staff, ensuring premium dining and beverage experiences.
- Assist with à la carte service/restaurant operations when not needed for events.
- Carry out FOH administrative tasks such as payroll, invoicing, scheduling, inventory, and ordering.
- Maintain and develop accurate financial and administrative records.
- Support catering, deliveries, pantry stocking, and service for all offices and residences with a focus on events.
- Manage daily service in all F&B outlets, ensuring quality control and a consistent customer experience.
- Monitor, direct, coach, and guide all staff on the floor to ensure an exceptional member, guest, and staff experience.
- Manage operations in restaurants, bars, lounges, event spaces, and private rooms as needed.
- Actively participate in service, performing functions of all positions including servers, runners, bussers, bartenders, barbacks, and hosts as needed.
- Work all shifts as needed, including opening and closing service for the day.
- Train staff on and uphold steps of service, service standards, uniform standards, and a sense of enlightened hospitality.
- Update pre-shift notes daily and run pre-shift meetings.
- Ensure all positions complete sidework tasks for all day parts in all areas.
- Monitor the reservation system, make bookings daily, and adjust as needed.
- Create floor plans daily, assigning staff members designated areas of service and sidework.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership experience in directing event service, managing people, and overseeing the overall guest experience in a luxury hospitality environment (preferred).
- Strong organization, time management, and team motivation skills.
- Experience in banquet service and event operations.
- Fluency in TripleSeat or other event management software.
- Proficiency with programs like Cater Xpert, Microsoft Excel, Tripleseat, and Compass OMS.
- Ability to respond effectively to continuously changing demands.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with clients, teammates, senior management, and the Commissary team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (event-based schedule).
Pay
$80,000 to $90,000
