Events/Banquet Cook 3

About the Role

As a Banquet Cook 3, you'll be responsible for the proper preparation and execution of food items required for all banquet events, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special parties according to Hyatt standards. This role may also perform carving and other buffet attendant duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute food items for banquet events
• Perform carving and buffet attendant duties as needed
• Ensure all food preparation meets Hyatt standards
• Give direction in the supervisor's absence

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• 2+ years of previous line experience (3+ years preferred)
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
• Ability to perform basic and intermediate cooking skills (soups, sauces, stocks, frying, broiling, sautéing, etc.)
• Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen
• Requires minimal supervision and training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours during shift

Pay

The pay for this position is an hourly rate of $19.00, with eligibility for overtime.
