About the role
The Banquet Cook 3 position is an hourly position responsible for preparing and executing food items for all banquet events, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special parties, according to Hyatt standards. This role may also involve performing carving and other buffet attendant duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute food items for all banquet events
- Perform carving and other buffet attendant duties as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Work in a fast-paced environment, often standing for extended periods
- Manage multiple stations in the kitchen
- Provide direction in the absence of a supervisor
Requirements
- At least three years of previous line and fine dining experience
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand for 8+ hours during a shift
- Perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
- Minimal supervision and training required
