About the role
This position serves as a lead for specific areas within events such as Exhibitions, Tent installation, Deliveries, Power/Lighting, or cross-utilization between multiple event departments. Reporting to the Event Supervisor/Manager, this role requires minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and contribute in the delivery/setup/strike of stages, dance floors, lighting, tables, chairs, etc with minimal to no supervision.
- Install all frame/pole tent installations and below in size with minimal supervision, and support structure install/strike as a team.
- Lead a small crew in the event that the crew lead or supervisor is unavailable.
- Oversee and execute exhibition related tasks such as installs/strikes/maintenance.
- Ensure inventory is in good condition and available for use.
- Uphold company safety standards and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure all event needs are loaded, secured, and handled safely and effectively.
- Interact professionally with guests, clients, and internal departments.
- Rigging chandeliers, lighting, etc and follow the correct safety procedures.
- Connect power needs up to 50 amps safely via commercial connections.
- Operate safely a Forklift, telehandler, aerial lift, and scissor lift with training.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED).
- Additional training preferred.
- At least two (2) years of related experience.
- Ideal candidates will have relevant event experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic math skills a must.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project/time management skills; prioritizes work and can adapt as needed.
- Keen attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
- Proactive, takes initiative, and exercises good judgment; creatively problem solves and handles a variety of situations in a professional manner.
- Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
- Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper applications.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Will work indoors and outside in all types of weather with fluctuations in temperature and conditions; may be exposed to dirt, dust, pollen, fumes, smoke, chemicals, and/or other particulates.
